Annual Review - Delivering Results
Dear Member,
What a good year 2005/6 proved to be! Our Dinner programme attracted attendances of nearly 400 members and guests. Another highlight was the finals evening of the Manx Executive Challenge in May at the Villa with over 100 members and guests.
So what of this year? A number of your committee have retired: Fiona Quayle and Hilary Costain and Vice Presidents Ian Kelly and David Wigg and we thank them for their considerable efforts on the Branch’s behalf. As a consequence we intend a smaller strategy committee as can be seen from the contacts page.
Education: Karen Scott will continue to oversee the Institute’s increasingly successful courses with MCMD. Presently around 100 students are participating in the programmes. Andrew Cairns is to chair the steering committee developing the Institute’s lunchtime/breakfast CPD series at the International Business School.
Membership: Carol Jempson is working to improve the dialogue with our members, in order to make the branch activities more relevant and career supportive to members. We are also hoping to reinvigorate our proposition to Corporate Members.
Patron’s Lecture: We are delighted that Sir Paul Haddacks has agreed to the reinstatement of this prestigious event. We are investigating a number of other possibilities and if you have ideas or suggestions do get in touch. As ever, our aim is to fulfil our mission, support lifelong development of managers and have fun!
Yours sincerely
