Craig Allen, an accomplished Chartered Manager, explains the route to Chartered Manager status and how it can benefit and enhance your professionalism and career.

Craig started his career in the Royal Air Force before deciding to settle on the Island in 1988 to take up a role in the Finance Sector. Craig is a Chartered Manager who has held senior roles in both banking and life assurance. He has over 20 years experience in Operational and Customer Service Management roles, 8 of which as a senior manager. He has experience of managing multi jurisdictional and international teams across different locations and has delivered a number of workshops both here and in the UK on Inspirational Leadership.

Becoming a Chartered Manager can transform your career and the way you work and can also transform your organisation. Whatever sector you are working in you can embark on the Chartered Management process. Just as qualification can reflect an individual’s academic ability within the field of management, gaining Chartered Management status recognises the application of an individual's professional skills and competences through an evaluation of professional practice, experience and commitment. Chartered Manager is the hallmark of the true professional manager. It recognises managers who have demonstrated the positive impact of their contribution at work and who are actively engaged in improving their knowledge and skills.
