Visit to the Anne Frank & You Exhibition
Monday 15th March 2010, 6.30 p.m.
Corrin Hall, Peel
Parking in the grounds of Peel Cathedral
Canon Nigel Godfrey of Peel Cathedral is bringing the exhibition to the Island for one month. The event at the exhibition is a private viewing for the CMI.
Anne Frank + You is a dramatic multimedia exhibition which uses the life and writings of a 15- year old Holocaust victim to focus on issues confronting today’s world. Racism and social justice, freedom, dictatorship, conflict and peace are all explored in a compelling presentation with massive educational benefits for young people – but with something to say to each of us.
The Exhibition will be housed in Peel Cathedral/Corrin Hall during the month of March 2010 when attendees can reflect on Anne’s life in a replica of her room in the Secret Annexe. The contemporary side of the Exhibition uses latest technology to present post-Holocaust narratives and issues in our modern society.
Please meet outside the Corrin Hall at 6.30 p.m.
Numbers are restricted so please reply by March 1st at the latest.
The visit is free and open to all. If you would like to stay afterwards, there is supper consisting of Chicken Pasta (or a vegetarian alternative), garlic bread, salad, gateau and coffee at a cost of £12 per person. (Please indicate any vegetarian requirements when booking.)
